We were so excited to meet little Priya, who was welcomed into the world by Andy and Martine just in time for Easter! On the long weekend, we headed across town to Preston, Melbourne to hang out with Andy and Martine and their new little bub for a lifestyle newborn shoot, officially the most smitten parents we have ever met! We arrived in the early morning to the smell of delicious coffee and sat down for a good long catch up, and the news that freshly made hot cross bun mixture was rising. At only nine days old, Priya was super sleepy and perfectly beautiful. She barely opened her cute little eyes for the entire shoot. It was fantastic getting out and about and enjoying such the sunshine! We really enjoyed being able to photograph just a glimpse of the joy + love + hope for the future in this lovely little family!
This weekend we caught up with Kate and Andy, who introduced us to their new little son, Henry, who is 14 days old and born on New Years Eve.
Henry was a pleasure to photograph and apart from five minutes of sleepy introductions, he was very wide-eyed and alert!
We really enjoyed this shoot, it was lovely to catch up with friends, the light was soft, the colors rich, and of course, the little one was just perfect.
Here is a sneak peek …
It’s such a privilege to be able to photograph new born babies! Isaac was less than two weeks old and very expressive. Holding such a young baby, you can’t help but think of the potential that this little one has ahead of him.
Thanks to Isaac’s parents for their patience and friendship! Your photo’s will be ready soon!
Yesterday, Anthony and I had the privilege of photographing Wes, Heidi and their newborn, son Chase (11 days old) along with Archie, his big brother.
Chase was wide-eyed and alert, perfectly tiny and just gorgeous. Our first newborn baby shoot for the year, Wes and Heidi were gracious and incredibly patient as we rearranged cushions, blankets and beanies.
Meeting Chase, who is only just encountering the world and beginning his journey of life, helped me reflect on what a precious gift it is.
“Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.”
