Over the weekend, I took a drive out to Noojee to take some landscape photos. It was quite a nice drive and the rain cleared about 10 minutes after I arrived – great timing !
Named after the aboriginal word meaning ‘contentment’ or ‘place to rest’, Noojee is a picturesque town nestled on the banks of the Latrobe River in Gippsland. Early European prospectors and tin miners first settled in the area during the mid–1860s and were soon followed by farmers and timber workers.
